All are welcome, with or without a pet! The event will begin at 10 am and will conclude around 12 noon.
Kids, adults with or without a pet invited to attend in costume, or hand out candy. Arrive at 9:30am to register.
What a FUN idea!!! A PET PARADE in the Village of Oak Creek hosted by the Sedona Village Partnership. The purpose is to give Verde Valley families, big people and little people, residents and visitors alike something unique to anticipate.
Prizes for Costumes
There will be JUDGES and Halloween goodies for all participants! Best Dressed Pet / Best Dressed Pet with Owner / Best Dressed Group Combo, Pet Who Has Come the Farthest, Most Creative, Scariest Costume, Silliest, for example.
There will be prizes for kids 6 years or younger. Too little to carry on the parade walk? Why not bring the little wagon you have at home, pulled by an adult, of course. More surprises are being developed to add to the enjoyment.
To stay COVID-safe, we ask you to practice physical distancing off 6 ft apart from your neighbor. Bring your face mask for when distancing is not possible. Bring hand sanitizer as well to use when needed.
Trash-free Naturally, you will “pick up” after your pet during the walk. If you forget or don’t have the little green bags, we will provide them. We also ask you leave no trash but help collect any trash.

How much does this cost? Surprise, there is no fee to enter and participate. If, however, you would like to donate to help support needed scholarships for 3-5 year old kids at the innovative Sedona Village Learning Center PreK school, then there will be easy ways to do that either before or after the parade, or on their website posted above.
Is this a fundraiser? No, this is a FUN-raiser. This is simply a community event, but it is also to raise awareness about the little preschool too. Visits to the preschool are encouraged (in small groups)!
Do I need to dress in costume? We won’t say “required,” but you’ll be glad you did. 🙂 Even funny glasses, a wig or some face paint counts!
What’s the parade route? The start will be at the East entrance To Big Park School, around the circle. “Observers” can stand and hand trick or treats along the route, past the preschool playground into the wide entrance to the back playground. The parade will continue around the parameter of the border fence and around the brick circle twice, continuing out the wide entrance to the right around the front circle. Observers may hand out trick or treats by the fenced in basketball court as well. This is where the ice cream and prizes will be given and the parade ending.
Who’s hosting the event? This event is hosted by Sedona Village Partnership (SVP) with SVLC. SVP’s mission is to serve as a catalyst to inspire thought leadership and action to individuals, organizations and businesses in our community, to forge collaborative relationships, build trust, exchange ideas and information and to find solutions for our Village challenges, as well as our dreams.
